CASE STUDY

Family and Children's
Services

INTRODUCTION

Founded in 1925, Family & Children’s Services is the largest community mental health center in Oklahoma. Family & Children’s Services is a leading provider of behavioral health care and family services in Tulsa and surrounding communities, serving more than 100,000 individuals each year.

NEED

After Family & Children’s Services implemented a new electronic health record (EHR) system, dozens of reports needed to be developed. Timely access to information was a critical objective of the new system, and the project received quick authorization. The Family & Children’s Services IT team and CIO Lynn Haueter, reached out to Asemio – their proven partner – for assistance with this critical project.

RESULTS

Asemio proposed a team consisting of a project manager, report developer, and data analyst.  The goal for the team was to provide high quality reports on an aggressive timeline, in a cost-effective manner. Asemio proposed a team consisting of a project manager, report developer, and data analyst. Within a few weeks of project kickoff, the first phase of reports were built and ready for QA.

CULTURAL ALIGNMENT

One of the key success factors in this project was the ability to integrate Asemio development processes into those of Family & Children’s Services so that those interacting with either organization received the same customer service experience. “We found a very capable partner in Asemio, and today consider them a valuable extension of our own team,” Haueter said. “The team is mindful of the time sensitive projects’ billable hours and works efficiently and diligently to meet and exceed expectations.”
