Aaron Bean

Managing Partner

Aaron Bean is a social entrepreneur with a passion for building data-informed communities. He is a co-founder and the managing partner of Asemio. In addition to working in the private sector, Aaron spent 2009–2011 serving in the United States Peace Corps, focusing on capacity building in Central Asia.

Christina Callas

Project Manager

Christina Callas is a project manager at Asemio. Prior to Asemio, she worked as a project manager for an engineering services firm, providing highly customized solutions for midstream oil and gas clients. She brings a decade of experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and is passionate about finding innovative solutions to high-impact problems. Christina earned a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of San Diego.

Jovanna Carey

Executive Assistant

Jovanna is the executive assistant at Asemio. She brings a wealth of experience from past non-profit work in administration, organization, human resources, and leadership support, as well as a heart for mission-focused work. At Asemio, Jovanna is responsible for providing a layer of support to the team with regards to communications, logistics, and office management. She comes with a background in Business Administration from Utah State University.

Brian Christiansen

Developer

Brian is a software engineer at Asemio. Prior to joining the Asemio team, he worked as a server-side web developer for a marketing firm developing websites for national brands, and as an e-learning developer at a Washington, DC–area performance consultancy, where he helped create courseware for a national insurance company. Before that, Brian served as an active duty soldier in the United States Army for over a decade. He holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology and is a graduate of the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal.

Joani Dotson

Director of Professional Services

Joani Dotson is the Director of Professional Services at Asemio. She brings 10 years of professional and volunteer experience to the team, including work in public health, social service, and workforce development. While employed in the public sector, Joani facilitated numerous organizational development trainings and community meetings, engaging with public and private sector institutions as well as nonprofits and advocacy organizations. Joani earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Oklahoma.

Ron Dowty

Developer

Ron is a full-stack software engineer at Asemio. He has nearly three decades of experience developing data-driven applications and has worked at a variety of organizations, ranging from smaller startups to enterprise organizations, including Williams, American Airlines, and QuikTrip. Ron has experience in a variety of platforms and technologies spanning initiatives like rewriting web applications to be ADA compliant, building native tablet applications, and developing full-stack custom data systems.

Yaroslav Drobinin

Tester

Yaroslav specializes in quality assurance and training efforts to ensure the delivery of high quality software for Asemio’s clients. Prior to joining Asemio, Yaroslav worked as a newspaper correspondent, covering news in a variety of fields, including healthcare, consumer affairs and business, social services, and education. He is passionate about advocacy and volunteer work, and has served as a volunteer supporting individuals with physical disabilities for the last decade.

Fatimah Elghazawi

Grants and Marketing Coordinator

Fatimah Elghazawi is a Grants and Marketing Coordinator at Asemio. She has diverse experience in public relations and marketing, international research, and community service. Fatimah is dedicated to growing with and learning from cross-cultural communities driven by her passion for social justice advocacy and equity. Fatimah was brought to Asemio through her two-year entrepreneurship fellowship with Venture for America. She is a proud first-generation college graduate and has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and French from Denison University.

Willem Ellis

Developer

Willem is a software engineer at Asemio. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology from Oklahoma State University. Prior to joining Asemio, Willem worked at a healthcare technology company, where he built and maintained large-scale web applications, including one of the largest patient review systems in the nation.

Jessica England

Director of Strategy and Partnerships

Jessica England is the Director of Strategy and Partnerships at Asemio. Prior to Asemio, Jessica worked in healthcare IT, managing efforts funded by a $12 million federal Beacon grant for a regional health information exchange. She also worked for electronic health record giant Epic, where she managed multiple large-scale, multi-hospital implementations of medical record software, providing oversight on adherence to best practices for system implementation, conversions, and end-user buy-in. Jessica earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the University of Oklahoma. She currently serves as an officer on the Tulsa Literary Coalition board of directors.

Lauren Graber

Director of Operations

Lauren Graber is the Director of Operations at Asemio. She started her career in general management consulting at Booz, Allen & Hamilton and Booz & Company. Lauren has work experience in leading strategic business transformations and managing project portfolios focused on business process redesign, change management, and continuous improvement. She has worked as a business unit leader for McKesson Technologies in various roles focused on internal consulting and business optimization. Lauren earned a Master of Business Administration from The College of William & Mary and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The George Washington University.

Simon Grondin

Developer

Simon is a senior software engineer at Asemio. Prior to joining the company, he worked at startups in Silicon Valley, where he specialized in distributed systems and databases. Simon holds a Bachelor of Science in software engineering from the École de Technologie Supérieure in Montréal, Canada, and he is a licensed professional engineer (P.Eng). He is a founding member of the OkTurtles Foundation and maintains several popular open source projects in his spare time.

Ryan Haight

Designer

Ryan is Asemio’s designer, specializing in user interface, user experience, and web design. Prior to co-founding Asemio, he ran an interactive product company that built web-based applications for K–12 school districts. Ryan is also an adjunct professor at the University of Tulsa, where he teaches the computer information systems capstone class. He has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern State University.

Larry Lee

Developer

Larry Lee is a software developer with a passion for developing socially impactful systems. He specializes in formally verified software development and has experience designing critical-systems hardware. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Goucher College, and has over 10 years of experience working with organizations such as the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and SiFive to develop technology for the social good.

Mason Meyer

Delivery Lead

Mason Meyer is a delivery lead at Asemio and is passionate about leveraging the power of technology to transform communities. Prior to joining Asemio, Mason was a client success manager at a summer camp software company in Colorado where he helped camp directors spend more time with campers and less time in the office. In his free time, Mason supports local bike-sharing nonprofit, This Machine, providing fleet maintenance and community engagement assistance. He earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Oklahoma State University.

Aubry Nissen

Developer

Aubry Nissen serves as a delivery lead and focuses on organizational health and growth and special community initiatives at Asemio. She has a passion for helping social change organizations reach their goals through process, policy, and technology. This passion has grown through her experience in the health, early childhood, and philanthropic sectors in Tulsa and abroad. Aubry has improved system effectiveness for a range of service providers, from a neighborhood clinic to a community health initiative. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Tulsa.

Thomas Norman

Developer

Thomas is a software engineer with a background in data transformation and loading. Prior to joining the Asemio team, he worked at Deloitte on process workflow and support tool development in the healthcare revenue cycle and in the public sector with payroll and resource management. Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, majoring in both management information systems and economics.

Erin Powell

Grants and Marketing Coordinator

Erin Powell is a grants and marketing coordinator at Asemio and a powerful storyteller dedicated to challenging the status quo through community empowerment. Erin earned her bachelor’s degree at The George Washington University studying international affairs and sustainability, where she became an award-winning researcher for her community-based participatory research in partnership with a South African youth center. In her free time, Erin supports local farmer’s markets and yoga studios across Philadelphia. She is a 2021 Venture for America Fellow who is committed to creating entrepreneurial opportunities for herself and others in cities across America.

Tania Pryce

Delivery Lead

Tania Pryce is a senior consultant and delivery lead at Asemio. She comes to Asemio with experience providing counseling services to youth and adult populations, a background in quality improvement and data system administration, and supervisory experience where she helped lead a multi-service, youth focused agency. Tania is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with 19 years experience working in the non-profit community. Tania holds a Master of Counseling Psychology degree from Northeastern State University.

Ben Threadgill

Director of Technology

Ben is the Director of Technology at Asemio. He began his career building full-stack solutions for the K–12 technology ecosystem. Ben’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping communities eventually led him to co-found Asemio. He brings a wide range of experience to the company, from running day-to-day business operations to checking lines of code.

Megan Villanueva

Delivery Lead

Megan Villanueva is a delivery lead at Asemio. She’s passionate about building systems and processes that allow entrepreneurial organizations to do their best work. Prior to Asemio, she worked as a product manager for Ashoka US to develop the operational backbone of Fellowship and other communication products and experiences. For a number of years, Megan worked at Global Press, an international media organization, where she managed business development, fundraising, and program evaluations. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University, East Bay.

Mattie Witman

Delivery Analyst

Mattie Witman is a delivery analyst at Asemio. Before joining Asemio, Mattie came to love data and research while interning at the Ronnie K. Irani Center for Creation of Economic Wealth. While he isn’t working, Mattie is passionate about the power of words and stories to facilitate social change for marginalized groups. He has lectured, keynoted, and paneled several events and has been involved in a number of organizations aimed at helping the community. Mattie holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the University of Oklahoma where he additionally focused on African-American studies.

Nikita Zdvijkov

Developer

Nikita Zdvijkov joined Asemio as a software engineer. He is currently working on his bachelors of science in electrical engineering at the University of Tulsa, where he chairs the Association for Computing Machinery student chapter. Nikita is a problem-solver at heart, driven by the opportunity to leverage technology for good.

Boo & Tater

Chief Morale Officers

Boo and Tater are Asemio’s canine ambassadors and are responsible for ensuring the team’s positive well being. While currently part-time, their primary responsibilities include providing individual greetings to each team member upon arrival at the office, zooming around the conference table (at appropriate times, of course), and investigating everybody’s lunch. Both Boo and Tater bring a wealth of experience in collaboration, resourcefulness, and political influence (evidenced by Tater’s deft ability to obtain frequent belly rubs from many team members). Outside of work, you can find these two walking around the block or at a nearby brewery, lifting the moods of friends and strangers alike.
